So, quick synopsis so y'all know where I'm coming from. I am a recent college grad (finally!) as of May and graduated with my Bachelors in Kinesiology. Throughout college I was also an athlete and per NCAA rules student-athletes aren't allowed to have jobs to earn their own money. While I was undeniably blessed to graduate debt free thanks to my athletic scholarships, I wasn't able to build a savings (or a checking balance) while in school so I literally graduated with $0 in my bank account. Fast forward 6 months post grad, after living with my mother for that time, and running into some issues with her, unfortunately, I decided to move down in with a friend in Florida. But living here isn't conducive to the growth that I'm trying to make personally. So, yet again, I'm looking to relocate. The issue is, is that I'm still broke. I have about 2k in the bank and would optimally want to move to Colorado. I've been searching for housing but an average $1,100/mo rent just seems like something I can't afford. I would like to live by myself and not just rent out a room. I know my options are limited but I figured I'd ask y'all to get some ideas of where to move and what housing situation would be the best (and most affordable) for me. Im not objected to living in small homes, a loft, hell, even a van. I don't mind living a minimalist lifestyle, in fact, it would be the best for me. I just want to be in a living situation where I can be independent and at the same time, be low cost.
