So these are things I do that I guess are considered frugal but they are things I do/don't do because they make my life easier and happier and just happen to be frugal. however even when I mention them in frugal forums I feel judged!! what are yours?
- I don't eat breakfast or lunch. It started when I was a teen growing up very poor. I'd leave the food for my younger siblings. As I got older I was working multiple jobs and often 4-6hr shifts so no meal breaks. I didn't consider food a deal breaker so I just went without until the end of my day. As i've gotten older my jobs are more demanding and often find myself booked for meetings or being on the phone from 10-2 or thereabouts so at that point i'd rather just wait and go home! It's something i've done for 25yrs - it suits me and at this point I feel nauseated when I eat earlier in the day and it throws my body off. I can only eat about half of a kids meal at lunch and then at dinner I'm mentally hungry but still full....
plus, it does save me money ;) I still get judged and accused of having an eating disorder or something, although the recent diet trend of "intermittent fasting" does give me some "hey, i'm not the only one!" ammo I guess.

I don't use soap on my body. like...ever. I wash my hands and face, but my skin dries out if I use it on my body and TBH I've not used it in probably 20+ years unless absolutely filthy (I've had that happen a few times when traveling for work). I get (even here!) "eww... you must stink" but I don't. I also don't see the point of paying for soap, drying out skin, and paying for lotion to fix dry skin, when showering daily is all I need.

people who know me and know I make good money and have a fair bit in savings always admonish me for not wanting to spend money. "why don't you paint?" "why don't you replace carpet?" "why use old fridge you got for free?"
"because why spend money when I don't NEED to? it doesn't bother ME"
and the response is "well, you have the money to do it!"
Well, I have the money because I don't SPEND it on that stuff. LOL.
