Wierd thing happened to me recently...
Got a from visa asking if I had recently made some large purchases . I replied "no I haven't ".
The charges: $5000 ( triggered fraud alert) $800 (went through) (iPhone on contract?) $800 (went through)
They then told me someone just called them pretending to be me and my card was compromised.
A week later I get two packages in the mail, open them up. Two IPhone X's.
I'm guessing :
1) The fraudsters were testing the waters with the iPhones before they made the big purchase.
2) They were hoping to intercept the package .
3) They just messed up.
Anyone have this happen to them?
