So I bought a Surface Pro 3 less than 4 years ago as I thought it's flexibility of use, being both a tablet and a laptop, would make it worth the cost. Boy was I wrong ... SO SO WRONG. 2 replacement keyboards, 1 replacement stylus, and going on 3 chargers (THREE) I've had enough with the ridiculous additional products I've had to purchase and I want to buy a laptop that's actually going to last. It's clear that this computer is just designed to appear lush for the first year or so, only to go to pot after the warranty is up so you have to buy another one!

I want to know which brand of laptop could last me maybe 6 or 7 years so I can use it for as long as computers feasibly can be used for these days. I'm moving around a lot, so a desktop isn't really option right now. Are ASUS a good brand, and what about HP? I just want a simple conventional laptop that's functional and not an expensive mess. Cheers guys!
