I have been job searching and have recently started receiving offers. The best offer is in the town I want to live in and pays very well - over a 40% raise. However, I'm also starting to get other offers that are almost as good, but the first one is optimal.

The first job asked if I'd be interested in starting in a few months. This is ideal for me as it would require moving and would help me get my house ready to sell. I'm also finishing a 14-month project at my current job in 2 months, and while I wouldn't miss out on a job to stay, it would be ideal if I could finish. (I.e. it would be much more political if I waited to quit.)

My only problem is that I'm going to have to turn down these other good job offers if I accept the first one, but if it turns into April and they tell me "Sorry we don't need you anymore" what do I do? Is there a good way to contractually bind them to hire me in 3 months? Would a signing bonus paid out right now incentivize them to hire me later?

Help me PF, you're my only hope 😂

I'm in the state of Oregon of that makes a difference. Thanks in advance...
