I currently rent an apartment in Ohio and it is my first winter here. I have a large patio sliding door and my apartment living room is over the garages below. It's not the best built place. The floors are freezing and the patio door has ice forming on the inside. there is a slight draft off the glass and more air coming in where the patio meets the floor. For now, I put up curtains and lined the bottom with tshirts, towels and bath rugs. I'm a minimalist so I don't have that much extra stuff lying around and I don't want to bring in things I don't want to keep. I think putting a large rug down would help but I can't find a quality thick one that's large for under 250. I even checked thrift stores. For that cost, I could just crank up the heat. This isn't something window wrap and a blow dryer can fix because there's ice on the inside. Should I tell the complex (I think they already know).
