If the shutdown extends long enough to affect your pay, contact your financial institution to see if they are able to provide any assistance. Many of them, especially the ones that specialize in serving military members, offer special loans or provisions to help those that are having their pay be delayed. During the past shutdown in 2013 pay was backdated for those affected so it should all even out in the long run for you. Hang in there!
