I just bought my first car that wasn't bargain-basement and risky. (It's a 2012 Camry with 50k)

I can get an extended warranty through my credit union that financed it (i.e. not the dealer) that seems reasonable to me. For instance, I could get a 48 month/50k miles coverage with a $250 deductible for $995. What does the collective wisdom of /r/frugal think?

Thanks!

Afterthough: I cannot do repairs myself, so going the ultra-frugal route of repairing everything myself isn't an option.
