I’m a 21 year old high school graduate with no college degree (dropped out to support a child), a minimum wage part time job (making $300 a week), paying $250 insurance on a car that breaks down every other week, living out of that car because my mom kicked me out for getting my girlfriend pregnant, horrible credit and in debt (my mom used my name for utilities/cable/cards growing up and never payed them off), etc.
My life seems to have no hope and it scares me. It scares me that living paycheck to paycheck could be my reality. Being homeless is literally one paycheck away. If I go to school for a trade or some sort of degree, it may require a loan that I can’t take out. Even if I could, I wouldn’t be able to find the time to attend because I need to work to afford my insurance, baby expenses, and my half of the rent at my brother’s house. I’m literally scared. What can I do to make extra money when I have no experience really? How can I change my life around? I don’t spend money on drugs or alcohol, I don’t smoke, I don’t go out or even waste money on clothing for myself just so I could save money and I still barely have enough to afford a coat.
