Hey peeps,
Today I was at staples, and I bought the follow 4 items
1- 1.5 inch wide binder 2- Dry erase markers, 4 count 3- dry eraser 4- 50 sheet protectors.
The correct amount due for these items was about 22 dollars. My total came to 73.47. I let the cashier know about the mistake, and he promptly got a price check on the 1.5 inch binder, which was marked as 48.99 on his computer. The correct price for the binder was 8.99, but then the total came to 30 even still! So I asked again what the prices for the items I had bought were. He had double charged me for the markers! So he removed the double charge and gave me a 15 percent discount on top of my purchase for his mistakes.
I was zoning out and just happened to catch this, but it’s a friendly reminder to pay attention to even your more mundane purchases. Have a good day!
