To those waiting on hold for 1+ hours to speak to someone in Wells Fargo’s customer service department, prepare yourselves. There is no good news. Wells Fargo is aware of a nationwide bill pay issue where customers’ accounts were debited twice for each bill scheduled for payment today. Wells Fargo has NO present timeline for fixing this problem, waiving nsf fees, crediting accounts, etc. This fresh disaster will likely cost the bank an unsustainable amount of customers. This scandal will cost Wells Fargo whatever public confidence remains. MAKE A COMPLAINT TO YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL if you are impacted.
