So my New Year's resolution is to cut back on lunch/food expenses. So no more getting coffee and a donut at the Dunkin by the train station ($3.11). Settle for free work coffee / tea, bring my own donut - use up the Christmas Hostess cupcakes :)
Limit lunch to $5. (It is hard to get anything downtown for under $10. Except the yummy taco cart ($1.25 tacos which are fantastic or the $5-6 lunch special at the grocery store - example: $5.50 for 1/2 chicken and 2 sides!)
Today we took the bus to the Med Center on First. $4.22 for a steak salad that was excellent. We get the employee discount because the U has a clinic there, hehe.
Baby steps, next stop just brown bag it all. Hard to do 'cuz I like going out with my team members. So reserve once a week to go out with the guys.
So cheers to a more frugal year! (At least less wasteful?)
