Last year in December 2016 I ordered a custom 10' dining room table from a carpenter in Colorado (I'm in new York) for $3119.00. I ordered through their website after speaking with them on the phone. I paid using my Visa Card which I pay in full every month. They said the table would take a couple months to build, from February through May they kept making excuses for delays and finally I received the table on June 6th 2017 but it was severely damaged in shipping. I spoke with the company and they said they would build a replacement in 3 weeks and it wouldn't cost me anything since it was insured through the shipping company (DHL). Again they kept making excuses for delays and pushing back the delivery date when finally they said they would deliver it on November 30th 2017, that date came and went and it wasn't delivered, and they have stopped responding to my emails or phone calls, and after I commented on their facebook they have since removed their facebook page. Is it too late for me to dispute this charge? Is there any way for me to get my money back? I have already filed a complaint with the FTC and the BBB, but wanted to get some input if I am able to still dispute this so long after the initial charge. When I look it up online most things say you only have 60 days and only if you haven't paid the bill yet.
I spoke to them on the phone a couple times, but all the conversations regarding their excuses for delays, the damaged table, and that they would replace it because it was insured were through email so I have all of this in writing and they never delivered on it. If the credit card company would require that I can provide that to them showing that they never delivered a finished table and they admitted it.
If anyone is wondering the company was Colorado Tables LLC, DO NOT ORDER A TABLE FROM THEM.
It doesn't seem like I am the only one this is happening too, before they took down their facebook there was another comment from November 2017 from another woman who said they took her money but never delivered her table. I think they realized people were starting to complain and didn't want the bad comments all over their facebook.
