Ok so I started cramming last year and I made around $1500 so I was sent a digital 1099 form. I knew I was going to be sent one and decided I was just going to deal with it when the time came and now it’s january so it’s time to deal! the big issue is that I am 19 and my mom does my taxes for my other job at a retail store and she has no idea I have been camming. She noticed I was getting direct deposits a few months ago and when she asked me about it in the heat of the moment I told her it was swagbucks (lol). Now the simplest solution would be to just tell her I’m camming and send her the forms because I don’t know anything about taxes but I really don’t feel like having that awkward conversation.
So I was thinking of just telling her the form is for swagbucks but I’m not sure if knowing whether it was from swagbucks or chaturbate would matter when acually while doing the taxes, or cause some sort of complications along the line. The form says some ambiguous name like Multi Media Studios so it’s not like she’d be able to tell and I know swagbucks also requires a 1099. I really have no idea how any of this works so I appreciate any help!
*Edit: Let me add that she’s a real helicopter parent and wants to do everything herself and know everything about everything. Me suddenly asking for the tax forms to do them myself would raise suspicion. she also checks my bank account transactions and would see tax related things, again defeating the purpose of being secretive
