I have two water heaters using the wonderful Honeywell WV8840B1000 controller, neither work. On one, my water heater burner won't fire. Thermopile measures 650mV after 1 minute and pilot light stays on (thermostat clicks) but burner never fires, even though I have the water temp set to Very High. On the other, the thermopile also measures 650mV after 1 minute, but the pilot light does not stay on (thermostat never clicks). There is plenty of airflow to this pilot light, and as long as I depress the dial in the PILOT mode, the pilot light is lit. As soon as I let go of the dial, the pilot light goes out, never triggering the gas valve even though the thermopile causes the status light to blink the normal status pattern. Also, the "reset switch" does not seem to depress, so I cannot try that option. Any suggestions? I have a repair guy coming out Friday, but we really need some hot water before that!!Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2CguMwM
