Hi guys! I’m from Florida and I’m visiting IL for the first time. I just wanted to make sure that I’m generally prepared because I’ve heard of Chicago’s famously cold winters. Right now, I’ve got:
- fleece lined tights
- one pair of jeans big enough to layer
- bearclaw boots
- a couple of fleece sweaters
- a ton of camis
- plenty of socks for layering
- a fleece hoodie
- a good scarf
- a coat with faux fur lining
- gloves (on it’s way from Amazon)
Am I missing anything else? Also, would it be dumb to layer fleece tights under fleece leggings instead of jeans to keep warm? I absolutely hate jeans but all of the suggestions I find for keeping your bottom half warm is something layered under jeans.
If you guys have any good suggestions for fleece or faux fur leggings it would also be appreciated:)
