Obligatory disclaimer: this isn’t about frugal per se, but if anyone would feel for me, you guys would. Just need to vent.
I sent a holiday gift via USPS to a friend across the country earlier this week. A scarf I’d crocheted, a cookbook, and some of my favorite chocolate. The whole value of the box was $25-ish, so why the hell would I insure it?
Box arrived at her house today missing the cookbook and the chocolate. So unbelievably pissed. Moral of the story: don’t cut corners when a “happy ending” depends on other people being ethical human beings.
