** Added after writing the rest:** A few of the problems I have about choosing a design come from lack of my size or a colour I don't like and currently looking at more black or oxblood/ cherry red but not fussed. If someone has any idea of when a new range is coming out that would be great, not planning on getting fur lined which looks like their entire winter collection. I guess I'm also looking incredibly close to Christmas which might mean there's a restock imminently ;) I'd probably be interested in new designs too I liked the ink blot ones but wrong side and might be because I've been watching the Crazy music video more now haha
I'm short about 5"1 and slim UK women's clothes size 8, shoes around UK 5. I wanted a pair of lasting boots, worry MIE 1460 (£170) will look odd because they're unisex and wide and heard some reviews from taller people say they felt like they looked odd on them.
After looking at reviews I decided it would be better getting the MIE 1460s than the ForLife ones.
However, the only female MIE shoes with common soles are the Pascal Camo (£210 collaboration design) which apparently are canvas and heavier waxed leather which is slightly suedey looking and not smooth and I'm not sure about that. Also, unsure about mix of canvas for it's life as collaborator is fabric related.
The normal Pascals aren't properly listed anymore and out of stock but came with softer leather. The non MIE Pascal II Montelupo (£135) and non MIE Antique Temperly Pascal (£115) both have non soft leather but can't compare the two types due to lack of info on site.
Due to injury non MIE Leona style (£150) would be better as deeper heel and also more feminine with harder leather but not in my size unless I go for a colour I'm not that keen on. There is a sale on the non MIE Persephone (£100) but a 2 Tone Arcadia which looks better (£140) but as I don't wear heels I'd be worried about the height and the leather seems to be a softer leather than the others. For £100 I'd want to be sure I'd have a shoe I can walk in and generally i suppose I'd get more use from a boot like the pascals, 1460 or Leona than the Persephones.
I've had the same £15 boots for years and had to chuck them so time for an investment, I'm a student so can't spend a massive amount but wanted them to last hence the docs. Won a 2nd hand discontinued pair of Clemancys eBay with slight heel too see and shift later to get the right size.
Pascal is technically unisex but also sold as women's in some sections of the site since I've heard it's tighter across the toes and slightly more narrow.
Was wondering if anyone had experience with the shoes, especially the women's styles and the MIE women's shoes to compare :)
