Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I'd figure I'd start here since I couldn't find anything out from my own research.
I normally work 5, 8 hours a day 40 hour work week. With the holidays we've been crazy busy and I've been working overtime. Which means I'm getting overtime pay for every hour a day I work over 8 hours. But as I'm already working 40 hours a week I'd get paid overtime for any hours over 40 hours a week that I work.
So my question is do I get double the overtime for the 8+ hour days and the 40+ hour work weeks or do they cancel each other out and I only get 1? This is in California by the way.
