Hello, I'm a long time lurker but never posted until now. I went to the dentist a few months ago after a while due to not having dental insurance for a long time, and suffering from a severe phobia of dentists. I had severe tooth pain, so it was mandatory to go. They did X-rays and told me that i would need 2 root canals, all of my wisdom teeth extracted and an extra tooth pulled, and a bunch of fillings. The thing is that i need to go to an endodontist for the root canals, and it will cost me around $1,200 for each one since both are in between the molars. All in all, my dental bill comes out to around $8,000 dollars total. I'm 18 and just got out of Highschool. My father refuses to pay for anything, so I'm stuck on my own, basically. And the worst part is, since my father makes about $1,000 every week, i don't qualify for government assistance because he makes too much money, and I'm still living at my parents house. My mother doesn't work since she has a disability. She gets a little bit of money from my father and will buy food with it. But my mother has to pay the bills with the money she gets as well, so a bunch of times she will run out of money for food (we get paid biweekly). So, i have to buy food with my paycheck for me and my brother to get through between each pay cycle. I just got hired a few months ago, but i only get paid about $150/wk and most of the money goes towards food and helping paying bills. I barely have any money left over to save up. I am trying to get a second job, but have had no luck getting an interview as of right now. The dentist had given me antibiotics to help with the tooth pain, but it'll only be a matter of time before the pain comes back. I tried to apply for financing, but i got denied since i have no established credit. This whole situation has started to bring my depression back up to the surface, and i have no clue how to solve all of this. Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you need additional information, feel free to ask.
