I just got fired last week and my company offered me a severance pay. I would normally not have any questions but what’s making me question the severance is that the director that fired specially told me “I highly recommend getting a lawyer to look over the severance letter.” I don’t want to have to pay for a lawyer to look at the letter just to have them say go ahead and sign. Any advice on how to go about signing?
