I use two full beds as a giant couch. On top of the mattresses, I have full-size bonded suede futon covers, which looks exactly like I want it to look. The frames are connected together so they don't slip; however, I can't figure out a good way to keep the mattresses connected, as they inevitably create a gap. I even tried those big safety pins, but they're either an eye sore or dangerous as they open at random (or both).I considered just getting a bed bridge, like this one that's used to connect two twin mattresses into a king, but then I'd have to somehow create one big sheet out of two existing sheets. At that point, I'm not sure I'd even need a bridge.I guess the best way would be to create one big sheet by sewing the two existing sheets together, but I'm not crafty with sewing and I don't own a sewing machine (nor do I have any idea how to use one). Also, since the covers are fitted (like the elastic on fitted sheets), I don't know how to properly undo the elastic and put it back together so it still fits snugly onto the mattresses themselves.I'm open to any suggestions, including forcing me to figure out how to sew, since that's probably a useful skill to have. However, the easier, the better. Is there any other way to keep the mattresses from moving apart, like somehow ensuring they stay where they are via, I don't know, something short of glue? My frame has sticky strips on the wooden slats and those are useless. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2AYZEnT
