Title is pretty self explanatory. I'm visiting a friend in early January in Chicago. I've never seen snow. I've never been in conditions cold enough to produce snow. I Don't have a lot of sweaters and honestly don't know what materials will actually keep out the cold. I also don't have a lot of money (I bought a $65 round trip flight from Frontier) so I need to strike a balance between keeping warm, but not spending too much money on stuff I'll probably use about twice a year while traveling. I'd also like to look somewhat cute.
Am I asking for too much? Lol
What I do have that I think could be relevant: Several scarves A coat with (faux) fur lining the collar A few knit sweaters Leggings galore A few pairs of jeans Several pairs of boots with rubber soles (thank you JCPENNEY buy one get two free) A beanie
