So I was thinking of purchasing a water cooler (the ones with the 5 gallon jugs that disperse water) for my house. I purchased a few re-usable stainless steel bottles in place of traditional plastic bottles. My question is:
Can I be expected to save money after a couple of years? Does the cost of electricity negate the cost of the bottles?
I'm mainly doing it for environmental reasons. I want to reduce my plastic use. I'm fully aware of the brita filters but my family also prefers a water cooler instead so we will likely go that route.
