I finally went into our local Aldis. The prices were decent, but they were often offset by the lack of bulk options. Most of the store seemed to be dedicated to various forms of either junk food or ready-to-eat meals, with little space for cooking basics. About the only things that looked worth buying were the (very few) spices and the shelf-stable produce.

r/frugal, I must say I am disappointed.
