Okay so I took a job in a city ~1000 miles away due to higher pay of $34/hr in physical therapy. I passed my national exam and licensed in other states, but not licensed in the state where I accepted the job. I was upfront about this and the owner was well aware, and even increased the offer from 32/hr to 34/hr along with a bonus at the end of the 1st year.
So I moved to the city last week, bought a car as I was coming from a major city where you could walk everywhere to a small city where driving is a must, and then began work today. At end of the day the owner says since I am not certified in the state that they won't pay me more than $20.
So reddit, any advice on how to handle this, was what they did legal? I will be taking the state exam as soon as possible, could be within a month, and calling the state board tomorrow as well to ask them on what can be done.
