Just wanted to share some great news with some likeminded people!
I am a college student and i work very hard at three jobs (nanny/odd jobs, journalist, and research assistant.) I am very smart with my money and am hoping to save around $30,000 by graduation (I’m almost half way to my goal and almost half way through college) to give me some padding for when I enter real world of bills and being financially independent.
I budgeted $3000 for a study abroad trip next summer (3.5 weeks in Italy/London including 6 University credits) and by the grace of God something crazy happened: I was received $1300 in academic scholarship and am eligible for up to $1000 more! I could be spending almost 4 weeks in Europe for under a grand! This major for me because even though I was going to be able to manage the $3000 without being set back, this is just more money that I can add to my savings!
