I'm very new to investing, and I'm curious to find out how the r/investing community identifies attractive stocks for investment. I currently use Finviz's free screener to first identify stocks before doing some more in-depth analysis of competitive positioning, future growth prospects and financial performance. I currently select Mkt Cap over $2Bn, ROE over 15%, P/E under 15 and P/B under 3, and then I may manipulate these depending on the results and what industry I'm interested in. What do you think of this?

If you could briefly talk about your preferred investment strategy when explaining what metrics you use that would be great, thanks!
