After Porsche announced their Model E, VW Group plans to invest more. It appears that big car companies are getting serious about electric cars.
Personally I think they got nervous about Teslas success. They reacted accordingly and will produce great EVs soon. Once the big players reached long distances for their electric cars and have a charging network, I don't see any reasons why people would by Teslas anymore.
If Tesla wants to compete with the big car makers, they need to fix their production and quality issues and get cash.
