Few years ago for me, old 1920 bungalow that needed some crown molding. I have an Engineering/Math degree and thought, piece of cake, measure twice, cut, 45 degree angles, we'll be done in 3 hours (for 1 small room).2 hours in and several lengths of molding and I can't figure out why my joints don't match, eventually pull up youtube and realize I'm an idiot. THEN I try to measure the 33.x I need for another hour until I realize my miter saw has a LINE notched at the correct angle I need for crown molding! And I won't even get into joining 2 pieces with a coping joint.9 hours later (a few trips back to hardware store) my job is finally complete and I'm thoroughly agitated and a beaten man.TLDR: woodworking can be complex. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2AierXv
