Suggestions on pulling an old metal 1 gang box that is nailed at the back?

So I need to upgrade my old metal box to a deep old work box to accommodate a smart switch and assorted wiring.The problem is this box is not nailed at the side... it's nailed through the back into a brace that runs between studs.I would prefer to not destroy the wall here but I am at a loss how to get this box out... via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2maHlWH
