I moved up north recently and need a warm parka at a reasonable price. What are your thoughts on the Eddie Bauer superior down parka? Any other jackets I should be considering?
The temperature rating on the page says it's good for -40c/f, but I've seen some reviews saying that in real life that's not true.
I've also heard that the size runs kinda large. I usually take a large.
If it's not warm enough, I guess I could always wear a few layers underneath, but I would appreciate some input.
It's $420 regular canadian with 40% off (Eddie bauer seems to have these sales quite often though so i'll just assume that this sale price is pretty much a regular price.)
I would like to do some outdoor activities this year (skiing/snowboaring) so just looking for something decent that can handle mid -35ish celsius and a bit colder (at the worst. i'll probably hide inside when it's this cold though. haha).
