Last week I bought a few Clinique products from a local department store. The next day they went on sale online. Directly from Clinique they were 25% off and from the department store online they were 20% off. I decided to buy them from the department store online and return them to the store. I thought at least this way the department store got the business. The gal seemed sort of annoyed when I returned them (I told her exactly why) and when I told a friend, she said I committed a retail faux pas. What do you guys think? I saved about $20 but now I feel badly if I put the gal who sold them to me out.
