I have student loans that I refinanced last year. My old lender reported the loans and that I was making payments. However, my new student loans, that I have from First Republic Bank, do not show up on my credit report. I was hoping to have them added so that I have a better credit mix, more lines of credit, and show my on time payments. Is this normal? Shouldn't my loans be automatically reported to the credit agencies? Should I reach out to First Republic or to the credit agencies to get this added?
