I've been living with my Aunt for over a year and she has decided to go to an Assisted living home. She signed the condo to me while it was insured. Hurricane Irma passes and there is no damage on my property but the association is claiming all residents owe them $2,000 which should be covered by our Hurricane insurance for seen and unseen damages.

Honestly after the Hurricane I walked around and there is no way $2,000 per resident was needed for these repairs. Just a few months ago they came at us for $8,000 per resident to repair the roofing and now asking $2,000 long after Irma is gone seems very corrupt and during the Holidays no less. They did not put this to a residential vote and we even had a meeting that was against this.

Anyway, at the time this was signed to me my Aunts condo was insured, now the insurance company is claiming I need to get coverage which won't apply until next month, and won't cover the damages by the Hurricane making me pay $2,000 out of pocket. I never signed anything and being given a bill that the community here knows is not needed, for something that should be insured doesn't feel right.

You guys have helped me in the past I hope you can now, thanks.
