Moving into a brand new home, no grass, toliet paper holders arent installed, how would you begin making this a home?

After a long time in an apartment, moving to a new home this week.

We have the furniture, we already bought appliances, but home ownership means lawn mowers, extension cords, etc... Lots of new stuff to buy.

Any advice on where to begin collecting this stuff? I LOVE thrift shops, but they don't sell snow shovels. Ideas?
