I've never been one to think about my money I was always a fly by the seat of your pants person. But now that I'm 22 and still in my parents house that's something I want to change. I have a plan to move out around this time next year into a house with 3-4 other guys. I also recently quit smoking which is going to be a massive burden off my bank account. I've estimated with price in the city which I live by with the people I'd be with I should be able to survive on around $600 bare minimum a month including rent, utilities, and food. I also hope to have around $5000 in my savings by that time. Is there any other advice anyone could give me to help better prepare myself for this big step or any tip? Anything would be appreciated.
