Hello PF,

I wanted to write here and wanted to know what to do as my next step. Losing my patience and am very frustrated.

Leased a new car from dealership in early 2016 (US/California). This was my second car from the company after my lease ended for the first car. Everything was fine until June of this year. When driving the car, the car keeps beeping and saying that the hood light is on. Also, the car alarm will go off randomly pissing off few neighbors late at night. Had to get the car fixed right away.

Trip 1: Went to the dealership's service center (not where I purchased my car) and they said that the car has an aftermarket alarm. This was weird since I did not modify anything from car. They were unable to fix the issue and asked me to go to the dealer center where I purchased my car since it is not covered by warranty.

Trip 2: Went to original dealership where I got my car. (it is far away from home. That is why I did not go to them first) They say dealership 1 is wrong. They are able to fix the problem and everything is fine.

-2 months later beeping issue comes back again. -Car battery dies (car is less than 2 years old)

Trip 3: Go to a different company dealership center near home. They found source of issue and ordered parts to fix car. Covered by warranty. Told me to come back in 3 days.

Trip 4:Go back and they replace the part. But problem is not fixed. They said car has aftermarket alarm and recommend me to go to original dealer center where I got my car.... wtf.

-Call customer service rep letting them know about the issue. Spoke to manager of the dealership where I got my car and he said he will fix my issue right away at no cost...

Trip 5: Drive all the way to my original dealership and they fix the issue (removed wiring and reset car system). Everything is fine

-2 weeks later (today). Car starts beeping again while driving...

What do I do at this point? I no longer want to go to a dealership service center anymore since each time it takes about 7-8 hours to complete the service and is very time consuming. I have about 24 months left in lease.
