I have a friend (single mom) who is low on money. They currently go out to dinner a little bit too much and pay for cable. Two of my ideas are to buy them a Roku stick so they can give up cable and also suggest they register with a food bank. Is there a way to get other subsidized goods and services based on income (ie. Internet)? Also, I don't want to hurt their feelings by forcing these ideas on them. I'm open to good ideas on how to gently suggest these things.
