So, I need 10 lbs of beef short ribs for Friendsgiving. I figured I'd see if Costco had them while I was there yesterday. They normally don't, but when I saw them I thought I was in luck!! Until, that is, I saw the $9.99/lb price on them. It's been about a year since I've needed to purchase boneless short ribs, but I didn't think they were that steep.
So I passed for the time being. Today, I went to a local grocery store which is usually on the spendier side, but definitely has the best meat department in town. The short ribs were only $5.99/lb and they cut them fresh for me since they only had one small pkg on display.
I don't always expect the best deal at Costco, but to have meat prices 66% higher just blows me away!
