Just want to share my experience with this brand I never saw on this sub. These are great, especially for the one of you living in a cold climate.

Dale of Norway is doing great sweaters. They are well cut, solid, reliable and durable. I think they have a nice style but, hey, it is my one taste. As most of the older one have a really complex looking, I think a lot of people are not interested into it. I have some pilling time to time on some of mine, but the wool is so thick it is not a problem. Just take it off and it looks like new again. As it is wool, I barely wash my sweaters. If you have to wash it, be awarded that it may be freaking long to dry though. I can wear it under a jacket in winter for more heat. Instead of having a shell in autumn, I’m now wearing only a thick wool sweater

The point of my post is also that you can find really nice BIFL pieces of clothing for dirt cheap if you know what you are buying. You can find them used in thrift stores, on ebay and on local classified advertising website. I found most of the ones I own for less than 20$. I’m tired of being on this sub and feeling really poor because I can afford these 500$ boots.

Just to let you know, I’m not selling this brand at all. Going in thrift stores and finding some hand knitted sweater are often as good as Dale. Being used to the feel and the look of a great wool, I can identify which one will last and which one will not. The point of giving a brand is just for those of you who are not used to it to be able to find something great quickly. Most of the knitted thick wool stuff is well made and is really versatile. One of my favorite sweater is an equatorial hand knitted wool sweater that is incredibly warm and durable that is not a Dale. Anyway, you get the point that I hope you guys won’t give me any commercial intention as I don’t have any.

Do you guys know any other brands of reliable and easy to find warm clothing?
