I was hanging the brackets for a new curtain rod, and my drill kept getting stuck on what I presume is a thin metal frame. But shouldn't the drill be able to get through that? Instead, the drill kept locking up. I'm sure I have a fairly weak drill, so perhaps that is the issue? Maybe better-quality hardware would have made it through? Anyway, I was able to use Walldog screws and the rod is up and feels secure after a few tugs, but I was curious about this. There's no reason to believe there is any electrical or piping in that area as it's basically a few inches from the ceiling on the top floor. I had a similar issue in another room and was able to install the brackets further out and with anchors. But in this room, the window is near the corner so I can only install so far out...Thanks. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2hiSqDe
