This is my first year in my vanguard Roth IRA, and I maxed my contribution into the target retirement fund 2055. I came across this article today that I am sure is full of inaccuracies, but I had some questions about the theory - keep in mind I am very new to the game - are small cap ETF's better for long term growth? I am particularly interested in long term growth seeing as I have about 35-40 years to go in my career (high school teacher).

So, are small cap ETFs better for long term growth? Why? Should I consider diversifying/reallocating into small cap ETFs instead of just the target retirement fund 2055?
