There's a ton of discussion around Doc Martens on BIFL, r/GoodyearWelt, and other forums. Obviously there is a difference in quality in nearly every product that moves production to the East.
However, I've had a pair of wingtip Docs from China that have held up for over 18 months of every say use and walking around 7 miles a day without a single issue.
Obviously one would see a difference between handmade in England Solovairs vs manufactured in China Docs, but that also comes with a $50-$100 price difference.
Are Chinese Doc Martens REALLY that bad, or do people with defective pairs use China as the scapegoat?
