Just cleared out an apartment with wood floors and the old tenants have destroyed the finish. There were boxes of rotten food everywhere, old apples and potatoes, that had seeped onto the floor and which destroyed the finish.What kind of finish can we get out of this? There are alternating light and dark spots, the dark is perhaps where the finish is gone, and is getting a bit lighter when it dries. Some of the light areas look like they have a urethane coat with opaque pigment in it. Wood is from an old school's basketball court.Advice on products to use.
