This post isn't about AMZN, though it was prompted by it. I'm wondering if there are any good blogs/finance sites that discuss the meaning of a given earnings amount, and whether that amount is good/bad for the company, as opposed to simply noting whether the earnings has exceeded analysts' expectations. It may be simply by lack of awareness in the details, but I don't know how much I care about whether a given number is higher or lower than what some nameless analysts thought a number would be. I really only care to understand if a given number is good or bad relative to a stock price.
