I travel a lot. I am in and out of airports all over the USA doing my job. I have a long going trend of missing 1 item. This time it was my ear buds. I like to have them to both soften the engine noise and to signal "I don't want to talk to you."
I purchased a set of skullcandy earbuds from the Best Buy vending machine in the ATL airport. They were $19.99, I knew they wore overpriced, but I was in need...for reasons.
Online and in the store the same sku sells for $9.99.
I called the number on the website, that didn't work after 7 mins. They couldn't look up the receipt number.
So I called the number on the receipt. And after 11 mins, the guy came back on the phone and said, "we are processing the refund. Thank you." Click.
Tldr; I bought from a Best Buy vending machine and they price match. I called their support line to price match both the online and in store price. And got a 50% refund. It took 12 mins. $10 saved.
