I read a lot of information here and elsewhere concerning DTC and figured I would post a review after I purchased the Fire Hose Superior work jacket. PRO- The jacket is extremely warm and well insulated. CONS- The Fire Hose material feels soft and thin to the touch and I don't believe it would last longer than one winter. The coat has a tail on the back but is still very short and rides up significantly when bending over; on top of the jacket being too short, the coat tail folded up within 24 hours so I lost another inch in length (This seems to be due to the insulating material shifting within the garment). The Tall version extends the sleeve length but body length remains the same, so TIL that the only reason some people are taller than others is because they have unusually long, orangutan arms. The part that finally got to me was that the teeth for the zipper is made of plastic. Yes, plastic. Not only is it plastic but its thin, crappy plastic that feels like a toy that came out of a quarter machine. I can't wrap my head around the idea that putting plastic zipper teeth on a jacket designed to be a work jacket is a good idea. I'm not trying to belittle the company or those who purchase from them. I'm sure a lot of their products are great but this item needs some serious revisions. I wish I had listened to the threads here sharing similar views.
