My house was built in the 1940's and is very small. The previous owner left his gas dryer, and I have been using it for the last three years. The dryer was probably made in the 70's. Last week it stopped heating up. To fix it it would cost as much as a new dryer. The dryer is right by my back door. The dryer has the depth of "24 2/3. Which is perfect for that spot, but if the door was slightly open I could never open my back door. Also, the vent is on the right of the dryer. I have been looking all over the internet, and I can't find any Gas Dryer that our 24" or even 25". All over them our over 27". Not sure if there is a compact gas dryer. Any help would be awesome! I want to make sure there is nothing out there before I bite the bullet and get my old dryer fix.
