I would love some input from people that have owned one or both of these.
Looking for a new backpack for Xmas and have tentatively narrowed it down to these two. Uses would be, in order, EDC, light travel, diaper bag, light hiking. Keeping in mind I am going off of reviews and have never touched these bags IRL, I compiled this list of pros and cons.

- Love pocket layout
- Centered water bottle holder
- US-made
Cons
- Fairly boring design
- More expensive
Mystery Ranch
Pros
- Tri-zip - fast access
- Smaller volume but all in one compartment
- Looks - sleek, technical look
- 30% cheaper than Synapse
Cons
- Made in Vietnam/Philippines - no info on longevity (BIG)
- Less organization than Synapse
- Theoretically less durable - 500D vs 1000D for Synapse
